Photo Project

For my MDIA 225S course, I was assigned to photograph an event in the area. It was up to my decision on what I wanted to do. I ended up with two options, either an Arts Walk that showcases the local communities creative work, or an Artisans Fair, which also showcases local work. I picked these because I have previously worked for these type of events, showcasing pottery mainly. The Arts Walk was near my house, and a closer and more fun-themed event, so I decided to go with that. The Arts Walk was themed around Halloween, as during this time it was the beginning of October. Below, you can catch just a glimpse of some of the awesome, well-talented people I met and photographed on my walk through.

All in all, the Arts Walk was way more than just showing off work that people beautifully crafted. It was about getting the community together and having a great time. I was blown away from how much more community-driven Morgantown is besides being the home of West Virginia University. There's some pictures that I wish I had changed angles, or captured better, but nonetheless I am both happy with the results that came out of it and that I was able to be apart of this great event!
